HUNZA, April 20:(Nisar Karim) Frontier Works Organization was being criticized for slow pace of work to remove debris from land slide area. Contrary to FWO reports, which claimed removal of more than 80 feet high debris, mere 45 feet debris has been removed.

Three excavators, that were employed to paw the spill way to drain out water is now reported that two are being used to shift commercial boats against one lekh (0.1 million) rupee to artificial lake. Public circles was expressing their dissent on deviation of FWO workers from their main task- removal of debris and breach in blocked water within given time frame. It is pertinent to mention here that two dead lines that were given by NDMA officials could not be honored yet.

HUNZA, April 20: (Aslam Shah) The operations of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) are now a day's largely confined to disaster relief camps in Central Hunza. Not a single non governmental organization has paid a heed to problems faced by the population of Lower Shishkat, except Central Asian Institute and FOCUS humanitarian assistance that has provided tents to arrange tuition classes and general necessities of life respectively.

According to details, philanthropic organizations are actively busy and paying attention rather for the provision of relief to the Inter Displaced Persons (IDPs) at temporary relief camps in central Hunza. While, the fate of Ayeenabad and Nazimabad, formerly known as Shishkat seems in hot waters, due to negligence on part of local administration and NGOs on one hand and media to highlight issue on various forum on the other. Sahib khan, a native of Nazimabad claimed that government officials are doing nothing but confined to lip service. He rejected government's claim for any relief package for affectees saying such announcements aim to get sympathies of international community. ”The gradual increase in water level has destroyed our properties and cultivating lands, our very existence is on stake, “ he added. Public circles have demanded of government to implement the announcement that accepted the demand of public for calamity hit status and ensure availability of basic necessities of life on reasonable prices as well as to waive of utility bill charges like that of electricity on household consumption.

HUNZA, April, 20:(Najeeb Ullah Baig) Natural Disaster Management Authorities are deceiving public and they have little concern about the sufferings of the public. These views were expressed by Salman Ali, aborigines of the Nazimabad (Shishkat) village during a meeting with Voice of Hunza on Tuesday.

He alleged FWO that very little work is being done to meet the target saying removal of mere forty feet debris is like a tiny particle into mouth of a camel. “The substandard boats are doing little good for public as very few people can able to manage to sail,” he added.

Everything around getting quiet, public voices immersed into tyrant dancing waves of river and according to population, climatic conditions following water blockade were changed drastically. On the other hand, constant sounds emerging from the crest due to seismic moment has been served to create havoc among the population of Nazimabad for last five days.
